Help for size of recycled clothes

When it comes to sizing for second-hand clothing, it can sometimes feel like a conundrum. We understand that, and we want to help you clarify it as best we can.

One thing to remember is that much of our great vintage clothing actually originates in the United States. This means that the American standards for clothing sizes often apply. Here, however, it is important to note that the size of the clothing label does not always necessarily correspond to the actual measurements of the clothing. For example, a size "small" in the neck tag might feel more like a size "large." But don't worry, if that's the case, we've noted it in the clothing description so you know what to expect. We take the sizing of each piece of clothing very seriously, and we pay attention to detail.

When we get new clothes through the door, we thoroughly assess the size. In most cases, the size on the clothing tag matches the actual measurement of the garment. But there may also be cases where we have noted a different size because that is exactly what we have measured. We want to make sure that the clothes fit you perfectly.

Practically, we take each piece of clothing by hand and assess the size as accurately as possible. With our many years of experience, we usually get it right, but mistakes can of course happen. If you receive a jersey that doesn't fit as expected, that's totally okay! Just contact us and together we will find a solution that will make you feel good in your new vintage clothes.

Speaking of vintage clothing, it's also worth noting that it often has a slightly wider fit around the stomach compared to European sizes. This is part of the charm that comes with vintage clothing from the USA. Most of our customers actually prefer a slightly oversize fit, and if that's something you want, it might be a good idea to go up a size if your normal size doesn't give you the desired oversize effect.
